Eastern Plains are located in the east of the country and borders Venezuela, in the foothills of the eastern mountain range of Colombia, most of its flat territory where the green plain emerges, this place has an altitude between 110 – 230 m.a.s.l – (360/754 ft) and, a weather between 22° to 27° grades, this place is known for its oil wealth and large tracts of land suitable for livestock, t has a diverse fauna of species such as jaguars, cougars, anacondas, babillas, wild horses, deer, bears, Gigant Otter, among others, as well as more than 400 species of birds among ducks, hummingbirds, parrots, woodpeckers, wetland birds, hawks, owls and manakins. The contrasts between the plain and the mountains offer a particular beauty of floodplains, enchanting Land of Yopo, tree that means heart, likewise, this destination has a wide culture, its music in which the harp (musical instrument) is the protagonist, the dances, myths and traditional legends constitute the cultural manifestations of the place.

The place of the tour is in the Hato La Aurora Natural Reserve, it is a cattle herd with 20 thousand hectares of land and their owners have been conserving wildlife for many years, which is why these species have found a peaceful place to live. This route allows you to watch, photograph and appreciate a combination of birds, wonderful landscapes, bird sounds and wildlife.

Note: Please note that your migration step may take between 30 minutes to an hour, if you want to exchange dollars, this must be done at the airport on arrival. ATMs are perhaps the easiest place to get Colombian pesos.
